I’ve spent much of my career fixing the mistakes of providers who built their reputation on a few lucky photos. I’ve even been hired by major aesthetic companies to retrain doctors they once promoted, after realizing their before-and-after results couldn’t be repeated. These companies had invested heavily in providers based on social media clout, only to learn that their galleries were one-offs, not evidence of skill.
Over the years, I’ve been flown to Los Angeles three separate times to repair work done on well-known celebrity clients. I’ve treated government officials who were sent to me by their own physicians, at the physician’s expense, after disappointing outcomes. And nearly every time I’m brought in to train a team, I end up treating unsatisfied clients who believed in the hype but were left with results that didn’t match the photos.
What’s worse: patients who trusted those images often ended up disfigured and heartbroken, thinking they were in expert hands. I’ve seen the consequences up close, and I believe this kind of bait-and-switch is not just misleading — it’s a violation of medical ethics.
